Eagle Trading Co.
Somewhat of a rookie to the neighborhood, Eagle Trading Company has begun to really pick up steam within the area. It opened its doors in mid 2013, and now has an extended menu and food options available. Despite its isolated location on Franklin St. and Eagle St., there is plenty of business in the morning hours when the coffee is hot.
With superior branding, a kickass mural out front, and windows that fully open to the world outside, there really isn’t something to love about the restaurants design. There are limited tables, though. Luckily, many, if not all, of their offerings are ready to be taken on-the-go. Their breakfast menu is full of artisanal sandwiches that vary from the light side to a filling meal. To compliment this, they have plenty of local and boutique sodas, popcorn, and snackables ready to buy.
The service has been excellent. Orders usually come fast and they serve to your seat. One time, they did forget our order. After approaching them, they put a rush on it and even filled our coffees for free. An incredible gesture for a small mistake. They are friendly, approachable, and hard-working.
If you find yourself on the north side of Greenpoint and want some coffee or a sandwich, this is a fantastic choice. The open atmosphere, open windows, and open service all make for a great stop.
