Alameda is a neighborhood bar and restaurant located in north Greenpoint off of Franklin Street. It is nested across the street from Anella and next to Permanent Records. This place is best known for its large commanding bar in the middle of the space. It is well lit and serviced very well.
Grab a well-mixed cocktail or a specialty beer off of the menu and pair it with a small-dish style food item. Their menu is ever changing – sometimes mussels are on the menu and other times locally grown vegetables and vegetarian dishes are the focus. This keeps things interesting. Rarely will the menu be the same when you return.
This stretch of Franklin St, is overwhelmed with bars and restaurants, and Alameda does a great job of solidifying its choice as a bustling, food-centric speak easy. Impeccable bar service helps raise it above the rest, and offering a clean, modern environment to meet up with friends. Be wary, though, as it fills up quickly on busy weekend evenings. We recommend sharing some appetizers and grabbing some seasonal cocktails for a late dinner. You’ll thank us later.
