Anella is situated on Franklin St. on the northern side of the neighborhood. It is roughly four blocks from the G train, and a quick walk down to the shore of the East River. Anella offers both an intimate dining experience and a well-decorated bar with choice cocktails.
The interior of Anella is incredible. The ambient lighting is perfect for a date. There is a healthy usage of wood throughout – everything from the patterned walls to the large tables use it. Everything feels themed, detailed, and well thought out.
Perhaps the best thing about Anella is its changing menu. Seasonal seafood and dishes adorn the menu at certain times, offering great value in returning and trying something new. With that, the actual menu itself is diversified, so a strict vegetarian and a steak lover will find something they love.
Anella has an upscale vibe for a good price. The cozy interior and masterful design elevate amongst its peers. It would fit right in on the streets of the West Village or as a UES gem.
